We invite you to a Nordic winter wonderland with joy and tranquillity. Join us for an extraordinary escape from the ordinary, an unforgettable life transformation experience as we venture deep into the Finnish winter, Boreal forest, frozen lakes, wood-fired saunas, clean air and nature, log cabins, locally sourced food – and with any luck, Northern Lights. It is a special week, celebrating the Spring Equinox, International Happiness Day, Forests Day, World Water Day.

This is an immersive experience for saunapreneurs, well-being founders and operators, contrast therapy practitioners and everyone who wants to take their well-being practice to a new level.

You will experience different style of saunas and learn skills to enhance sauna experience to unlock the full potential of the power of deep heat and cold. There will be workshops on Sauna Culture, Design & Build, Rituals with local experts.

We will explore Tampere – the Sauna Capital of Finland, and the surrounding area. A day trip to visit the Art Sauna at Serlachius Museum ( A Unique Sauna awarded by Sauna From Finland) . Overall you will experience 10-15 public saunas. The rest of the time, relax and enjoy the tranquillity of Finnish nature and culture.

Set in the wilds of Nuuksio National Park, just outside Helsinki, the retreat combines authentic Finnish sauna traditions, forest immersion, guided nervous-system regulation practices, optional meditations, and immersive meals focused on local foods, created by renowned Finnish chef Jouni Toivanen (formerly of Michelin-starred Luomo in Helsinki).

Each element is carefully curated to counter the cognitive overload and exhaustion common in modern work life. Designed as a genuine pause from everyday demands, Fire & Ice creates the time and conditions for people to reset and return to work feeling calmer, clearer, and more grounded.

Sauna Region Week will be celebrated again in summer 2026. The World’s Sauna Region welcomes you to experience the gentle steam of Jyväskylä Region’s diverse saunas. The summer event features dozens of different sauna events around the region during the week. During Sauna Region Week, you can enjoy, for example, the warmth of a smoke sauna, pamper yourself with various sauna treatments, try a tent sauna or other interesting sauna destinations.

🌿 Sauna Region Week 6–14 June 2026

At Jyväskylä Region, you can enjoy gentle steam on the benches of the World Sauna Region. Located in Jyväskylä Region, the World Sauna Region boasts around 140,000 saunas, diverse sauna experiences, fascinating sauna history, and internationally renowned sauna industry companies. Sauna is celebrated annually during a sauna-themed week, which will be held for the 11th time in 2026!

Sauna Region Week brings together the best sauna experiences and services in the Jyväskylä Region. During this week-long event, sauna enthusiasts can explore a wide variety of saunas – from the world’s largest smoke sauna to traditional saunas offering relaxing and rejuvenating treatments. The program for next summer’s Sauna Region Week, taking place 6–14 June 2026, is already available and will continue to grow throughout the spring with exciting new events added. More about the saunas of the World’s Sauna Region

Exactly one year before the XIX International Sauna Congress (ISC26) opens in Oslo City Hall in the capital of Norway, the Norwegian Sauna Association invited sauna enthusiasts from around the world to an online launch event, marking the start of the final preparations for what will certainly be a historic event.
